I am a former military psychologist as well as a former Director of Behavioral Health for Inova Health Systems here locally in Northern Virginia. In the field of addiction, I have worked in the capacity of Director of Admissions (Sagebrush) and as a Therapist (City of Alexandria Detox Facility). In beautiful Hawaii I worked on the inpatient unit as well as partial hospital level of care at Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health Hospital as a Care Coordinator. I have been in private practice since 2014.

NIKKY HINDLE

Nikky Hindle’s diverse career as an athlete, nutrition counselor, and personal trainer is the result of a lifelong passion for fitness and nutrition. A native of State College, Pennsylvania, Nikky is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition with a minor in Kinesiology. She subsequently completed her dietetic internship through Cedar Crest College, where her work experience included rotations at Penn State Sports Nutrition, UPMC Altoona, and Penn State Cooperative Extension.
Nikky enjoys working with her clients to develop healthy relationships with food, exercise, and self. She believes that each person deserves their own personalized recommendations and nutrition advice, because no two people present with the exact same background. Each counseling session and meal plan is tailored to the unique needs of the individual.
Nikky specializes in nutrition counseling in several areas, including sports nutrition for amateur, high school, and collegiate athletes; medical nutrition therapy for diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and eating disorders; and general healthy nutrition for individuals looking to gain muscle, lose fat, or attain optimal health and vitality.
In her own workouts, Nikky emphasizes muscle building and aerobic conditioning to elevate her performance as a physique, strength, and endurance athlete. Nikky has completed several 5Ks, 10Ks, and half-marathons, as well as four Spartan Races. Additionally, Nikky is a Nationally Qualified NPC Bikini Athlete, appearing most recently at the NPC East Coast Classic. Nikky’s firsthand experience with a variety of training techniques and exercise modalities provides her clients with the opportunity to receive highly customized nutrition plans tailored to their unique fitness goals
